There's a Circus in Town!

Aaron picked up some tickets to a circus at the gas station. The tickets said free admission for kids so we started asking around to find out what this was. We heard it was a traveling circus straight out of LAS VEGAS and there were going to be elephants and trapeze artists and daredevils and motorcycles...sounds like fun, right? We show up and what a joke! It was the biggest scam I've ever seen. They charged an arm and a leg to get in and then we had to pay for everything once we were in. The kids wanted to ride the ponies and that was cute..but the circus was more like a freak show. . A 9 year old girl from Hungary was forced to hang on a rope while her dad twirls it around, pretty sad. The elephant walked by the crowd for a few minutes and then got locked in a trailer, WHAT? And there weren't any motorcycles or daredevils in sight. It was heartbreaking...the stars of the show were 2 kids from Hungary. To make it all worse the wind was blowing like crazy and we were all freezing. At intermission the stands pretty much cleared out and I felt really bad. We ended up parking the truck where we could see and watching the rest nice and warm inside. Jackson just keeps saying how awesome the circus was so I guess that's all that matters, maybe one day he can see what a real circus is...the poor kid.
