Hip Hip Hooray, It's Kindermusic Day!!

Kennedy gets so excited for her class, she can hardly stand it. She was running around screaming that she got to see her friends today. She just loves to get her hair done and dress up cute to leave. She has so much fun singing the songs and dancing. She asks me everyday if she gets to go to her "kinamuzic cwass".

Remembering 9/11

So I was just staring at the American flags lining my street and started thinking about the attacks on 9/11. I remember I was in college and was driving to work from Cedar City to St. George and hadn't heard anything about it until around 10:00. Everybody was so upset so I turned the TV on in the breakroom and watched some of the footage. I remember having the darkest feelings and being so scared. I remember really wanting to go home and crying for the families who had lost their loved ones and especially for the ones who still didn't know. I remember imagining being on one of those planes and knowing you were going to die or being trapped in the top of one of the buildings. How absolutely terrifying. I also remember the anger I felt towards those responsible for such a terrible act. I remember watching the towers fall over and over again and it never seemed to get any easier to see. What do you remember, where were you? How did you feel? I think it is so important to remember that day and to remember the evil that is still all around us. We may be protected for now but not everyone else is, please remember our troops and what they are fighting for. Pray for them and for their families and pray that eventually one day we will defeat terrorism for good.

My Little Ballerina

We bought Kennedy a ballerina outfit and she has been so thrilled. She has been into ballerinas lately so we thought she would have fun dressing up but we had no idea how much fun. She really won't take it off! She has to wear it everywhere, which is kind of cute, but I hope it doesn't last too long. She had to wear it to her first day of Kindermusic so she could dance like a ballerina for her class. Her dance moves are so hilarious, she has always been SO graceful! I really hope she grows out of that. She is such a sweetheart that I really have a hard time saying no so I guess I'll just have a ballerina for a daughter for a little while.

What Were We Thinking?

I guess we were thinking how much we love our little monsters and how much they really love the dirt! We spent the day working in the yard and built the kids a sand box, YEAH! For those of you who know this little town it is famous for its red
dirt. Red dirt that stains everything and never ever comes out again!!!!! I really do love my kids! They had a blast and didn't get out all day. It really is worth it and for the record their clothes did come clean. I just hope they don't ever decide to make it into a swimming pool ( remember Mom?).

First Day of Preschool!

Jackson had his first day of preschool today and he was so excited he couldn't stand it. We went to orientation on Thursday and he got himself dressed, brushed his teeth, combed his hair, put on his helmet, hopped on his bike and said "bye mom I'm going to school!" Hold on buddy I'm coming with you. Today was a little different. When we got to his school and he saw all the other kids there he wasn't quite so sure of himself. He tried to hide and I had to coax him in. It took a little bit to convince him to join the kids. Needless to say Mom left feeling a bit guilty and had to fight the urge to turn around and check on him. A few hours later I went to pick him up and he was all smiles playing with his new friends. I asked him if it was ok if he didn't go to school again because I missed him too much and he said, "Mom I have to go to school because I'm big now!" I guess he has to grow up sometime:(

These are when we first got to school... the teacher even tried coaxing him into it, he just wasn't sure.

These were taken when I came to pick him up. What a change!

Happy Birthday Jackson

I really can't believe he's 4! He is growing up so fast and I don't know if I'm liking that. We had a birthday party for him in Las Vegas at my brother Kyle's house.

The kids had fun swimming and breaking the pinata.

Jackson got a lot of fun presents, thanks everyone!

We really didn't go all out on the cake but he loved it just the same.

Jackson's "now that I'm 4" sayings.....
I'm 4 so I can do everything by myself.
I'm 4 so I'm not afraid of monsters anymore.
I'm 4 so I can't have any kisses anymore ;(
4 year olds don't need to be in a car seat anymore!
Actually I'm 4 so i do know because 4 year olds are smart.
