OOFITOL!

I'm so excited to bust out the sidewalk chalk again. It is finally getting warm enough to play outside! Jackson has been learning to write his letters and told me he wanted to write a word. He told me to say the letters he was writing (like he was teaching me). After repeating every letter he wrote, he said"now what does that spell?!" I said "OOFITOL" and he said (very enthusiasticly) "Yes that's right!!!!" What a silly kid. Kennedy had lots of fun making pictures, too.

We had an old blue trike that nobody rode anymore so yesterday we bought some pink spray paint and converted it to a princess ride. I had some little vinyl stickers to put on and now Kennedy thinks it is the best bike ever!
The kids have been riding bikes for hours everyday. What a nice break for mommy.

Crazy Boys!

I know this is really old but I just had to post these pictures of our brilliant husbands. My brother, Kyle and his family came to visit a while ago and we decided to go on a hike to some Indian ruins. When we got up there we realized there was still way too much snow for hiking but the boys just couldn't resist. IT WAS PLAYTIME!!!! First to get stuck was Aaron.

We tried to go up a hill and got stuck halfway. Kyle came to the rescue. Then the boys wanted to see if Kyle's truck could make it to the top of the sand hill.

They really are little boys at heart. Fun times! Kyle started goofing off and well as you can see he was really stuck.

Ryan hopped in Aaron's truck to pull him out and then got it stuck too. Two down, one more to go. Ryan's truck was the only one still moving and somehow we managed to get all three trucks home (several hours later.) What an exciting day for a hike!!!

It was quite a challenge to get Jackson to smile but we managed to get some. I give credit to our awesome photographer! Michelle, you're the best!

We have had a great month!

Sorry, I know it's been a while and a lot has happened. We moved into our new house and got all settled right before the holidays and then it hit me and I was down for the count. WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!!! We couldn't be more excited and now that I am getting over the sickness, it's really sinking in. We told the family on Christmas eve and it was so fun to finally be able to keep it a secret for a while (I was always too sick before.) We had a great Christmas and it started out at the Houstons for our family party. The kids loved the nativity and they looked so cute, as usual.

Jackson didn't want to be a shepherd because he just wanted to be a donkey. Aunt Molly quickly made him some ears and he walked around saying "hee haw." What a silly kid.

Kennedy was more than happy to be an angel.

Christmas morning Aaron's family came over and watched the kids open their presents (we slept a lot later than they did.) Then it was off to Uncle Butch's for the most delicious breakfast ever. We had so much fun spending time with Aaron's family, even his baby sister Hayle and her husband, Courtney, got to fly out from North Carolina. It was so nice to spend time with them. Courtney is in the marines and will be going on his second deployment in March. We love you
guys and can't wait to get together again!

Happy Harvest!

We have had a lot of fun in the garden this year. I just love this time of year with all fresh veggies! I love to top off every meal with something fresh and homegrown. We are so blessed to have our Grandma and Aunts with such a talent. I will have to brag and say their garden is the best in town ;) and we are lucky enough to live next door to it. I have really learned so much from them and think I could probably grow my own, but why try, right?

Kennedy's favorite things from the garden this year are corn on the cob, cherries, apples, and just recently she likes the cherry tomatoes. I would have to say her all time fave is the grapes!!! If I ever wonder where Kennedy is, I always know where to look. She just stands at the grape vines and fills her belly. She never really asks for snacks anymore because she can just get one herself!

Jackson's preschool class came and toured the garden. They had so much fun learning about how things grow and they got to try new things. They each got to take a bag of veggies home. The next day they asked if they could come back to our garden, I think they had a good time.

Jackson made a new best buddy in his class this year and they are so cute to watch together. Isn't it precious, they're holding hands.

They Accepted our Offer

YEAH!!!!! We put an offer in on a house and figured we were dreaming. This house is 3333 Square feet and was way out of our budget, but we took our chances and gave them a really low offer. I guess they were pretty desperate because they actually took it! We are so excited and if everything goes as planned we will close on October 31st. That is less than a month away, holy crap! We have been waiting for this for three years so I guess patience really does pay off.

Hip Hip Hooray, It's Kindermusic Day!!

Kennedy gets so excited for her class, she can hardly stand it. She was running around screaming that she got to see her friends today. She just loves to get her hair done and dress up cute to leave. She has so much fun singing the songs and dancing. She asks me everyday if she gets to go to her "kinamuzic cwass".
